Consulting FAQs

Can questions from different topics be mixed in one consulation meeting?

Of course. You book a certain time unit in which I am there for you. You can ask me all questions about the job search and being an employee in Germany.

How long can a booked consultation scope be used?

You can use booked consultation units over a period of six months.

How can a self-study course be tax deductible?

Consultations and self-study courses are tax deductible and part of the so called “Werbungskosten”. Please collect and keep all invoices and bills for your effords to find a job such as flights, Visa, phone, relocation costs and many more. Search in the internet for “Werbungskosten” to get more ideas. If you have finally found a job in Germany you should read more about tax returns and how to make a tax declaration to claim all expenditures or use the support of a tax assistance union (“Lohnsteuerhilfeverein”), which is much cheaper than a tax consultant.

How or where do the one-on-one meetings take place?

The consultations are conducted online with webcam and screen sharing, so we can interact as if we were in the same room. You will receive a link to the conference room via email shortly before the appointment.
