Career Program Overview

Learn the secrets of a successful job search in Germany with this structured programm. It consists of three independent parts. Each module breaks down your vision into practical implementation steps that you work through one by one. It combines self-study courses, in-depth live workshops and individual coaching sessions. Your career coach Heidi Störr

Heidi has worked as a recruiter in various companies and has made many recruiting decisions herself. She founded Push Your Career in 2012 to help foreign professionals find a job in Germany. Today her career courses are part of the curriculum for foreign researchers and students at many universities in Germany. Read more about her career history in “About”.

Target Group

The Career Program is for international job starters and transitioners, who want to find a new job in Germany´s industry. To participate it is recommended if you fullfil the following criteria:

  • You have a Master or a PhD degree (or will have it soon) in engineering, natural sciences or economics.
  • You have first international work experience or your degree is from a German university.
  • You are planning to start working within six months latest.
  • You can invest min. 4 hours/week work time.

Program FAQs

Yes, you will recieve feedback for your application draft and for your self-introduction in job interviews. Moreover you get all your personal questions answered in the live workshops and on-demand consultations.

The participation fee is tax deductible and part of the so called “Werbungskosten”. Please collect and keep all invoices and bills for your effords to find a job in Germany e.g. for flights, Visa, phone calls, relocation and this career advice as well. If you have finally found a job in Germany you should read more about tax declarations in Germany to get your investments back. You can also use the support of a tax assistance union (“Lohnsteuerhilfeverein”), which is much cheaper than a tax consultant.
